Brent Ridge and Josh Kilmer-Purcell are the founders of Beekman 1802. They are the stars of The Fabulous Beekman Boys on the Cooking Channel and have been featured on The Martha Stewart Show, the New York Times, Vogue, and Vanity Fair. They live in Sharon Springs, New York.
Over the years, fans have fallen in love with Brent and Josh's personal style and historic home through their cookbooks and TV show. Now, in Beekman 1802 Style, they use their city-turned-country-boy charm and style to help you with all things home. A beautiful, photo-driven book, Beekman 1802 Style features chapters like "East Meets West" and "Old Meets New" and offers thoughts on the attraction of opposites in the home and the importance of incorporating what you already have, along with some new must-have pieces.
Beekman 1802 Style features more than 200 curated images from the extensive Country Living archive, including never-before-seen photos of the historic Beekman farmhouse to inspire you to create a home that is inviting, warm, and, perhaps most importantly, fabulous. The book is filled with tips such as how to repurpose old materials like shutters, ways to use leftover paint, when to put wallpaper on the ceiling, and perhaps most importantly, how to merge the opposite tastes and styles of partners living under the same roof.
